Nobody likes to be ignored. But it happens.
If you do want to get noticed and get the attention of your prospects, you must use more than one communications method today…or what we call a channel…by engaging viewers in a way that’s meaningful, authentic and intimate without contributing to the noise.
For example, a podcast can help reach potential customers and grow your list:
♦ It’s an easy way to share your content with a focused audience;
♦ Listeners begin to think of you as a recognized expert in your niche;
♦ Your customers learn more about your business on a regular basis.
It’s pretty easy math…if you only use email and you’re not using mobile text, social networks, as well as audio and video emails, you’re probably reaching 20% to 30% of the people you could be.
If you use 2, 3, 5 or more follow up channels, your marketing effectiveness can double, triple or quintuple. And that will translate into doubling or quintupling your revenue and income.
Yes, it does take time to figure all this out:
- create up to seven different capture methods;
- create multiple and relevant follow-up methods;
- connect all sorts of complicated and expensive systems together;
- build the web pages;
- host them;
- write the scripts for emails, mobile texts, voicemail messages and everything else;
- follow up faster.
It’s also a good idea, these days, to skip asking the high school geek to post your social updates. Trained specialists understand the “why” of a communications message before figuring out “how” those messages should be created.
Remember: You’re losing money every day you don’t have a multi-channel follow up strategy in place.
